The Magic Castle, a private magic club in Hollywood California, as it looks today.

The Magic Castle started out as a Victorian mansion, built by the Lane family in Hollywood California. Here, the Lane mansion is under construction in 1907. The Lane mansion was designed to be a mirror image of the 1897 built Kimberly mansion in Redlands California. The Lane mansion eventually went through a series of changes, including becoming an apartment house in the 1940s.

The Lane Mansion in 1962, a year before its refurbishing was completed by the Larsen brothers and friends, and the mansion was repurposed and opened as The Magic Castle in 1963.

The Magic Castle adds a new wing in 1976. This is the addition where the downstairs ladies room is located. Before this construction, the lower level ladies room was only an outdoor space where no structure existed, meaning it was never a part of the original Lane mansion.

Here is an interior view of the lower level ladies restroom at the Magic Castle. It was inside and outside of this ladies room where Anne Strieber and Starfire Tor experienced a "glitch" in time, which involved the sudden appearance of a woman who was seen leaving the ladies restroom ... but was never seen entering the ladies restroom.

This photo is from the Magic Castle Time Slip Investigation conducted by Starfire Tor. This interior view of the lower level ladies restroom shows the only two stalls in this small restroom. Per witness testimony, when Starfire Tor and Anne Strieber entered this ladies restroom there was no one else there. This includes no one in the stalls, and no one in the sink area. Shortly after Anne Strieber exited through the restroom's only door, and while Starfire Tor was walking toward the sink, a mystery woman appeared seemingly from out of thin air. This sudden appearance caused a near collision between Starfire Tor and the mystery woman. Witness testimony states that this mystery woman was seen appearing in the ladies room, exiting the ladies room through the ladies restroom's only door, but was never seen entering the restroom's only door. Because the witnesses were stationed on either side of the restroom's only door, it would have been impossible for the mystery woman to have entered the ladies room unseen through that door. And yet, the investigation concluded that this is exactly what happened.

This interior view of the lower level ladies restroom shows the only two stalls in this small restroom, and the high ceiling above it. The investigation concluded that the mystery woman, who appeared seemingly from out of thin air, could not have descended into the restroom through that small ceiling vent nor any hidden ceiling panel because there were no hidden ceiling panels. None of the dust on the vent, the chandelier, the wall molding, the sprinkler pipe, or the stall frames had been disturbed.

The investigation concluded that none of the tiles had been disturbed, and that there were no hidden trap doors in the restroom flooring. Nor were there any hidden panels in any of the restroom walls.

This interior view of the lower level ladies restroom shows the only door in and out of the ladies restroom, part of the wall and the tile floor that lead to the sink area. In the left frame is the leading edge of the two stalls. None of the dust on the vent, the chandelier, the wall molding, the sprinkler pipe, or the stall frames had been disturbed.

This interior view of the lower level ladies restroom shows another view of the tile flooring looking from the area of the stalls toward the only door in and out of the ladies room. This is the area where the mystery woman appeared, seemingly from out of thin air, and where Starfire Tor and the mystery lady almost collided. The investigation concluded that none of the tiles had been disturbed, and that there were no hidden trap doors in the restroom flooring. Nor were there any hidden panels in any of the restroom walls.

This photo is from the Magic Castle Time Slip Investigation conducted by Starfire Tor. This interior view of the lower level ladies restroom showing the twin sinks. To the left of the sinks is the divider wall to the two stalls. To the right of the sinks is the divider wall between the ladies room and the outside lobby, with the only door to the ladies room on that same wall just out of frame. This is the area where the mystery woman appeared, seemingly from out of thin air, and where Starfire Tor and the mystery lady almost collided. The investigation concluded that nether the sink area or any of its surrounding walls, floor, or ceiling contained any hidden trapdoors.

Here is an exterior view of the lower level ladies restroom at the Magic Castle, shortly after it was built in 1976. Anne Strieber was standing here, in front of the door and by the lower banister, when she witnessed a woman exiting the restroom ... although this woman was not observed entering the ladies restroom. When Anne Strieber left the ladies restroom, only moments before, Starfire Tor was the only person in the restroom.

This photo is from the Magic Castle Time Slip Investigation conducted by Starfire Tor. This exterior view, of the only door leading into lower level ladies restroom, as seen from the lobby staircase. Anne Strieber was standing beside the door, underneath the magician's poster, waiting for Starfire Tor to exit the ladies room through that door. Whitley Strieber was standing at the top of the staircase, watching Anne Strieber with an unobstructed view of both his wife and the ladies room door. It was here that Anne Strieber witnessed the mystery woman exit the ladies room, just before Starfire Tor exited the ladies room through that door. Yet, Anne Strieber did not witness the mystery woman enter the ladies room through that door. This, despite the fact that Anne Strieber was stationed at that door from the moment she herself exited the ladies room. Whitley Strieber also witnessed the mystery woman exiting the ladies room, just prior to Starfire Tor exiting the ladies room throu the restroom's only door. The investigation concluded that the area directly in front of the ladies room, as well as the ladies room door, is locked in on three sides by walls and a staircase. None of the walls had hidden panels. The only way that a person could have entered that ladies room, at the time that Anne Strieber was standing on the outside of the door, was to pass by Anne Strieber. Yet, witnesses only observed the mystery woman exiting the ladies room through that door, and never entering the ladies room through that door.

This angle also shows more of how walled in this area is, making it impossible for a person to enter or exit the ladies restroom door without being seen by anyone positioned where Anne Strieber and Whitley Strieber were positioned.

Here is the Magic Castle's Parlour room, where Brandon Scott performed before a July 15, 2006 audience which included Anne and Whitley Strieber and Starfire Tor. The lower level ladies room is not far from this performance arena.
